Empty Biryani needs introduction, or should we let it evolve. Mukesh and me have been friends since 1970, we schooled together in Sainik School Bijapur. Mukesh went on to become a finance wizard with many degrees to his credit. BCom, LLB, CA, CS and don't know which other degrees. He worked with a government business liberalization organisation during the licence raj days, liberated himself, before he could catch rust, taking the important learnings with him. His last 20 years have been with the advanced technology firms. His other pavilions have been entrepreneurial venture in granite for exports and early BPO transportation. With a keen eye for finances in any environment, Mukesh has been providing advice to many enterprises, had all those who received his services had paid him, he would perhaps be a millionaire with that income. That's why he reminds, terms of engagement, invoicing are all important, so also is collection.
Empty also MT also is another way to put together names of Mukesh and Thakur together. Biryani is the dish that we were having when the idea cooked in our head. Saturday afternoon, sitting, lazily but discussing passionately is what I and Mukesh do, we have our opinions, we agree and disagree, want to keep it simple and also both admire, follow, cling and try change. Mukesh has his perspective, I love that. Agreeing to disagree, keeping things simple, change, closing issues, SME segment, entrepreneurship, Finance, relationships with Finance, inside and outside an organisation, all of these independently and the coming together to show interdependencies, influences, power and under plays interest us. The above will form the ingredients of our biryani.
So far, do you smell, what's cooking, the empty biryani.
More to come.
